Chicago Mac 2000: In the above picture note the two taller unraked masts. In the center note the shorter raked mast. This mast belongs to Voodoo which at this point is tied up amongst the Great Lakes 70's. When a 40 foot boat finishes amongst a group of 68 foot boats, good things happen. In this case Voodoo was the overall winner of the One Design fleet for the 2000 Chicago Mackinac. Tour Voile 2000The Port Grimaud France to Imperia Italy offshore race has been cancelled. The Mumm 30's will motor to Italy and sail 3 buoy course races today. English entry Barlo Plastics leads by 61.75 points a sizeable amount. |

Mumm 30 National's The Mumm 30 class sailed it's national championships as part of New York Yacht Club's race week. Winner was Phil Garland of Rhode Island. He and Trouble won 3 of 8 races. Muskegon's Asylum of the Petty/Wynsma partnership was 13th of 18 boats. Their best finish was a 9th place.
