One Design 35 NationalsThe weekend saw as close a battle as you can have for
the One Design Windquest had the best first day of any of the 23 boats
posting scores of Saturday saw 3 races sailed again in light conditions
from the west. In In fact after Saturday's racing yet another Holland
boat was the regatta Sunday's racing decided the order of podium placing.
Rather than the Extreme finished off a remarkable comeback with
finishes of 3rd and 1st. The 7th race fittingly saw Extreme win the race.
Windquest was 2nd and so finished a mere 1 point back. Heartbreaker could
only manage a 7th The 2nd annual 1D 35 Nationals were sailed in Holland MI and hometown boats took the 3 podium positions. The top out of towner was Sled Shelhores's Avalanche. J 35 Great Lakes ChampionshipsUp the Lake Michigan coast in Muskegon this weekend saw
the J 35 fleet's annual Great Lakes Championships. 9 J 35's sailed 7 races, Jim Maltman's Noble Buffalo was the story of the weekend, winning 6 of 7 races. Noble's discard score was a 2nd! 2nd was Bozo's Circus which was consistently in the top 3 except for races 4 & 5. 3rd was Touch of Grey.
