Goss takes on new project

Whilst Pete Goss' Team Phillips is on the hard being repaired Pete Goss announced another adventure laden project.  This project will involve open ocean rowing.

A boat designed by Team Philips designer Adrian Thompson and built of composites will be oar powered and carry 4 people.

Two records are in this projects sites.  The Atlantic rowing record which stands at 35 days and the west to east record which is at 55 days.  The course for this record is from Newfoundland to the Isles of Scilly.

The rowing boat will be named Atlantic Spirit.  Length will be 33 feet, beam will be 6 feet.  Without crew Atlantic Spirit will weigh 485 pounds.

Atlantic Spirit will begin her initial record row in June of 2001.

April Weather: A minute increase

We have been monitoring Muskegon temperatures to see of April will be the fourth consecutive month of above normal warmth.

With 3 days left temperatures are -.22 degrees.  This despite yesterday's comfortable high of 64.

Still a nice weekend could benefit us all and keep the above average warmth trend going.
