2000 Weather= Extra Warm

To date 2000 is the warmest year on record.  This according to NOAA which has kept such records for 106 years.

The United States average temperature to date is 41.7 a full degree warmer than the previous record in 1990.  Every state in the continental average has experienced higher than normal temperatures.

These warmer than normal conditions are expected to continue.  Additionally La Nina which is the dominant global weather pattern is expected to be in effect until August 2000.

Looking to the summer along with warmth will come dryness.  Drought conditions are forecast from Arizona east to Florida and also for Illinois, Iowa and Indiana.

Drought conditions will affect many walks of life including those who use the water.  Looks like law water conditions are unlikely to receive natural help in the near future.
