orresen
Sailing School was founded for the purpose of sharing the pleasures we
have discovered in sailing. Come and join us and learn a skill you can
enjoy the rest of your life. You will be glad you did. Our staff is noted
for the contagious enthusiasm they bring to their sailing courses. That
special feeling of fun and adventure on the water stays with you all of
your sailing life, as does the thorough training that gets you sailing
confidently the very first day!
Our sailing school
emphasizes individual instruction and stresses safety and sailing for the
sheer fun of it. With the best sailing instruction available you will be
able to sail easier, faster and with more confidence at all levels from
Basic to Advanced Coastal Cruising.
Our courses are
intimate for maximum interaction between students and instructor. We usually do not
permit more than four students and one instructor in each boat (five people from one family will be allowed -- please ask about this when you register). This
assures you of individual attention as well as plenty of sailing time to
sharpen your skills and gain confidence.
Our instructors are
certified through the American Sailing Association. Their easy
Learn-to-Sail method will assure you of high quality instruction.
Knowledge and appreciation of the Great Lakes is conveyed through the
instructor so you will gain important local knowledge as well as a
complete practical experience.
The entire staff
shares a concern for the ecology and preservation of the Great Lakes which
imparts a unique attitude of dedication and purpose to the Torresen
Marine, Inc. Sailing School.
