To calculate Sailing Record Score:
- Place average speed for record on Speed factor scale. Example 9.42 knots=31
- Calculate distance factor. Formula is: distance/11.30/24. Example 1000/11.30= 90.0. Divide this by 24 which is 3.8. This is distance factor.
- Multiply speed factor (31.2) by distance factor (3.8). For this example the Sailing Record score is: 117.8.
