Kathleen, you did a great job of keeping everyone updated on the race. Hats off to you!

Most Wanted finished!!! =) May I just say that I am SO proud of all you guys that stuck it out. My crew decided that this year "the Island" wanted to give us racers a test of perseverance and patience to make sure that we were worthy of finishing the longest freshwater race in the world... and to get free rum. (Thanks Kim!)

Good luck to all next year!

FOLIE Finished! CYC updated their Mackinac Cup Division finish report this morning, Thursday 7/29, 10:16am. FOLIE finished at 3:05pm Wednesday afternoon, 7/28. Elapsed time 04:01:45:54. Now that's perserverance! Ahh, I feel better now. Not like the FOLIE I know to not finish a Mac!

Have a great rest of the season, everyone.

Nevermind ... I'll bet I know where FOLIE is. Already sitting at the dock at the Pentwater YC, for this Friday's "Back from the Mac" party. She's always there. Awesome party, if you've never been to one. Pentwater's a great little town. Well worth the 4-1/2 hour drive from Chicago, just for the party. Usually 30-40 boats, live band (Montgomery Street), big cookout, great folks. Check it out!

Thanks again Torresen!

FOLIE A DEUX got "left out at sea" on the CYC's Mackinac Cup Division race results, last updated 7/28 at 12:44pm. Anyone know if she ever did make it to the Island?

Great coverage of this years event. The finish line cam was a great feature. It's exciting seeing local guys getting into Mackinac. Keep up the good work!

I agree with the prior comment. I sat this one out (and probably was lucky to be able to watch the whole race from my computer), but your information made the race meaningful for me. I do not understand why the Chicago Yacht Club does not post race progress reports? Your "Mac Concludes" comments were right on target with what I wanted to know back here in Chicago. I wonder which boat motored to get to the run party versus which ones raced during it. Thanks, Stu

Thank you guys, from an old sailor stuck back here in Chicago. I really appreciate your great work in bringing "The Mac" right here to my computer. Super job! Congrats to all the participants as well, finishers and non-finishers alike. It's years like this that remind us just how unpredictable this race can be.
