| Rules | The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 1997-2000, the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association (USSailing), the rules of International J-24 Class Association, 1999-2000, (IJCA Class Rules), except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions, and by the Sailing Instructions. The Regatta is designated Category A. |
| Eligibility | The regatta is open to all J-24s as defined by the IJCA Class Rules. Competitors must meet all ownership, class membership and yacht measurement requirements and must have paid all event fees before becoming official competitors. |

| Courses |
Racing will be on windward/leeward courses as specified by the Sailing Instructions. Course length will be based on sailing conditions. Racing will be on the waters of Muskegon Lake.

| Penalty System | The Scoring Penalty, RRS 44.3, will apply. The penalty will be 20% of the boats entered in the regatta. |

| Scoring | The Low Point scoring system, RRS Appendix A2, will apply, modified so that each boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. Five (5) races are scheduled, of which three (3) races shall be completed to constitute a series. |
|
| Awards | Trophies will be given to the top 10 finishers with crew prizes for the top five. |
