Purpose: Develop and practice essential cruising
skills as you enjoy a one, two or three day cruise. Excellent 3D graphics with 360 degree
Virtual Reality view gives you the feel that you are sailing through the selected cruising
grounds.
Scenario and location: Choose coastal, inland
waterway, or Island scenarios. Northern Latitudes - colder water, lots of fog, and rocks.
Southern Latitudes - Less fog, shallow water, and sudden thunderstorms. Bahamian Islands -
Few navigation aids, uncharted shoals, bottom reading in proper light required. Option to
eliminate currents. Shorelines, islands, your chart, weather, and tides differ in every
cruise.
Your boat: Choose from a
sailing monohull, sailing catamaran, or single screw or twin screw trawler yachts.
You can select the length, displacement, sail area, rig type, and steering type for the
sailboats. Engines have forward, reverse and variable speeds. You can set up
to two anchors. Enter slip under sail or power or pick up a free mooring.
Navigation: Plan your intinerary and anchorage's
using your chart. Set routes and waypoints in your Loran or GPS. Radar helps to navigate
you in the fog. Use the handbearing compass or radar to sight ships. Plot lines of
position on you chart form handbearing and radar sights, Loran and GPS. Measure distance
and angles on your chart using your computer dividers. Practice dead reckoning for
emergencies or for fun. Coastal Cruising Simulator features 500% more chart detail and
100% larger cruising areas.

Realistic 3D 360 degree "roving eye"
graphics: In the 3D Sailing and Cockpit views you can see your boat and sails in
details from any angle. Take fixes on landmarks in the 360 degree mode and plot them
on your charts.
