Today Gordon Torresen, president of Torresen Marine, Inc. announced the company's appointment as an authorized dealer for Precision Boat Works. Precision includes a line of affordable, quality sailboats with sizes perfect for Lake Michigan and Michigan's hundreds of inland lakes. Sailing World Magazine awarded Precision's model 185 2003 Boat of the Year, calling it a "best value."
The Precision lineup includes seven boats from 15 to 28 feet in length. Precision sailboats are ideal for new sailor or those simply interested in one of today's best sailing values. Customers can begin sailing a new 18' boat for less than $8,000, according to Torresen. "These boats make a great option for people interested in exploring the environmentally-friendly sport of sailing. Precision boats perform well, but will not intimidate entry-level sailors."
When Sailing World presented its 2003 Boat of the Year award, it said "Precision and Jim Taylor [the boat's designer] have been in the trailerable boat market for almost 20 years and their experience shows . . . substantial construction, moderate price and good sailing performance earn the 185 the best value for the year."
Torresen Marine will be one of only two dealers for Precision Boatworks in the state of Michigan. The first new Precision sailboats for customer inspection are now on-site.
