Short Tack: New Product

Safety gear for sailing ranges from life jackets to strobe
lights to knives to harnesses etc. Generally though, it
stops at the neck.
Sail Safety has come out with a line of helmets to take
safety right up to the head. The main purpose is to prevent
injury when the boom swings out of control.
Made in Australia the Gath helmets have a number of user
friendly features. These include: Shatter-Resistant
Polycarbonate Shell, Adjustable Audio and Temperature
Control Ear Vents and UV Sunlight Protection (100%).
The sailing helmet would be a good idea for those who sail
at night, offshore or short handed. Sailor such as Ellen
Macarhtur have worn these helmets showing that leading edge
sailors are leaning towards this product. Finally, Ten
percent (10%) of revenues are donated to Ocean Kids, Inc. a
non-profit, children's sports mentoring organization.
