Short Tack: Verve Cup

This weekend Chicago Yacht Club will host one of the final
major regattas of the 2002 season. For classes such as the
One Design 35, Farr 40, and Great Lakes 70 the Verve Cup
will determine season champions.

Five races are scheduled, likely windward leewards. This
regatta serves as a book end of the Chicago NOOD regatta
which is also an inshore format regatta off Chicago.

Short Tack: T 10 NA's

Forty-seven T 10's completed the classes North American
Championship on Tuesday. Host was Chicago Yacht Club
with 7 races sailed from the 10th to the 13th.

Winner was Voodoo owned by Grunsten/Flynn. They won the
final race with Richard Stearns Glider XIX taking 4th. This
turned a .5 point deficit into a 3-point victory for Voodoo.
