With the cold conditions we have been experiencing you often
get an abject lesson in why a boat with a pilothouse would be
an advantage. This week's featured boat is 37' Niagara Nautic
Pilot House.

In addition to the pilothouse to keep you warm and dry there
is other cruising and voyaging equipment. This includes: dual
steering stations with hydraulic steering, roller furling,
radar, 3 cabins and hot water.

Short Tack: Farr 40 North Americans

Beginning today the Farr 40 class will hold it's North
American championships off Chicago. Chicago Yacht Club is the
host.

16 boats are entered predominately from the active Great Lakes
Fleet. Out of area boats include former world champion Samba
Pa Ti and Atlanti XI a top boat at Key West Race Week. 2001
Great Lake season champion Heartbreaker is entered along with
Voodoo and Nitemare.

There will be 4 days of racing around windward/leeward
courses. Thursday is a 3 race day, while the others have a
pair scheduled.
