The Catalina 30 is one of the most popular sailboats ever

One is a tall rig, a configuration that has an excellent
reputation in PHRF racing.

Short Tack: New Great Lakes Icebreaker

The well known Coast Guard icebreaker the Mackinaw will be
replaced by an icebreaker that will be built on the Great
Lakes. Manitowoc Marine Group's Marionette Marine will
build the 240 long ship. The price is $ 82.5 million.
Construction will begin next year with completion scheduled
for 2005.

The current Mackinaw will be taken out of service in 2006.
The new icebreaker will also home port in Cheboygan MI near
the Straits of Mackinaw.
