There are several Volvo Ocean Race teams hailing from
Scandinavia showing the region's keenness on sailing. This
week's featured boat is an X Yacht 30 foot X95 built in
Denmark.

Currently sailing Leg 2 of the Volvo Ocean Race Grant
Dalton has moved into a tie for 1st place in the men's
voting with Star world champion Frederick Loof.

Ellen Macarthur may have been 2nd in the Jacque Vabre
but is 1st and has a large lead on Sari Multala in
Torresen Sailing Site Sailor of the year voting.

The American Sail Training Association recently handed out
awards at it's annual conference. Of note, award winners
St. Lawrence II, Bob Hodgson, Lane Briggs and Grand Nellie
