Mike Golding has finished. This leaves 8 boats still racing to the
finish in France. They range from Voila Fr. 291 miles out to the 50
footer Wind 5165 miles away.

Mike Golding finished the Vendee Globe with two times. If you count
from the official start his time is 110 days 16 hours and 22 minutes.
However, Golding was dismasted soon after the start. If you count
from when he restarted his time is 102 days, 12 hours and 22 minutes.
This is actually 4th fastest, a little over 7 hours superior to Marc
Thiercelin's time.

Thierry Dubois sailing Solidaires also arrived. He had dropped out
with electrical problems. His unofficial time is 109 days.

The next finishes expected are: Bernard Gallay (Voilą.fr) & Josh Hall
(EBP Gartmore), Thursday during the afternoon. Catherine Chabaud
officially out of the race, but sailing with a jury rig. (Whirlpool),
Friday night.

The finish line is near for Club Med. Her current ETA in Marseilles
France is this Saturday or Sunday. Such an arrival will give Club Med
a time of 62 or 63 days around the world. This time is a few days
above the 59 day mark projected as a maximum achievement. Still it's
8 to 9 days faster than Sport Elec's time over a comparable distance.
Club Med currently leads Innovation Explorer by 982 miles.

3rd place Team Adventure has sailed a fleet high 448 miles. They will
round Cape Horn today.

Warta Polpharma should follow Team Adventure around the last of the
great capes 30 hours behind. Team Legato trails by a further 2180
miles and is en route to Cape Horn via the Pacific.
