This weeks featured boat is 'Vagary', one of Lake Michigan's
most successful racing boats. Designed in 1982 by Doug
Peterson, Vagary was raced successful by her owner. Constantly
modified and tweaked she remained a winner last summer.
Vagary finished 2nd in class in the light air Chicago Mackinac
and won her Level 60 class earlier in the season at the
Chicago NOOD regatta.
Equipment includes a Westerbeke diesel installed in 1997, GPS
and Auto pilot, full KVH instrument system, berths of 8, and a
2000 Spinnaker. Vagary rates 57 under PHRF.
Located in Muskegon, Vagary should be of interest to anyone who
wants to win races!

Loof is Hot Sailor

Swedish sailor Fredrik Loof along with crew Christian
Finnsgård won the 2001 Star Class world championship. Sailed
in the Netherlands they used a pair of 2nd place finishes to
win 1 point over Gavin Brady and crew of New Zealand who won
the final race. 3rd was American Vince Brun and Crew with
back to back 3rds in race 3 and 4. 4th was 2000 Bronze
Medallist Torben Greal who won races 4 and 5. 2000 Olympic
Gold medallists Mark Reynolds and Magnus Liljerdahl were 6th
with 2 wins, but also a 37th and 17th.
Fredrik Loof is one of the world's premier sailors. He won
the Finn class world championship in 2000. Last fall he won
the Silver medal in the Finn Class. Now he has added a world
championship in another Olympic class!
