Additional Updates – Monday AM

Nice Pair – approx 6am local – ” boats ahead and reeling them in fast. Chute up. Amazing dawn sky…”
1hr & 15 minutes later – in the light of day – it all changes
“We sat going .6 for 4 hours while the others were about a mile of so closer to shore doing 6 – 9 kts. ARGH! :(

Shorthanded – 7:45 am – “Ticklish and Aftershock both slid by us last night. We think they stayed closer to shore and found a little more wind. We’re hanging with Aftershock, but Ticklish has found another gear with what appears to be a fresh kite. We’re currently 22 miles from Pt Betsie doing about 6.5 knots with the VMG kite and staysail up. True wind speed is 8-9 knots….hope it holds through the day.”

Painkiller 4 sent in some nice sunrise shots that I hope to have posted shortly.

For Sailing Magazine – 8 am – Erin on Main Street “Just entering Manitou Passage with the bulk of Div 1.  Natalie J is way in front of the class.”
