Monday morning tracker review

Monday morning and there are not yet any finishes at the island.  Dependant on when and where the wind fills in, this could be a very interesting afternoon.

As shown by the following tracking screen shot – Windquest (circled in pink) has made it well into the Cruising division fleets (the rest of the boats on the map).  Cruising 1′s Dog Daze and Tomorrows Sunshine, & Cruising 2′s Intangible are nearly parked on the west side of the Mackinac Bridge.

A walk through the sections show the GL70′s just north of Frankfort and headed into the Manitou passage.  The are joined by Talisman in Section 1.  The balance of the section 1 boats with trackers were grouped mainly off of Frankfort as of 5am race time.

For many divisions, Frankfort seems to be the word of the morning.
The Beneteau divisions are grouped together.  With the 36.7′s spaced between Ludington and Manistee and the 40.7′s a little more spread out north and south.  Some even as far north as Frankfort.

The J105′s & J109′s are also hanging in a group Just north of Hamlin Lake.  The exceptions with trackers are Sealark (J105) & Realt Na Mara (J109) almost to Frankfort.

The multihulls are pretty spread out, as would be expected in their diverse division.  The greatest tracker density is near Frankfort.

Section 2 can be found between Manistee & Frankfort, with Flash Gordon trying to figure out how to get back over here from Door County Wisconsin.
In Section 3 the bulk of the division is at Manistee with Zoom on their way around the Manitous and Wellenreiter past Frankfort.

Sections 4 is spread out between Hamlin Lake & Frankfort.
5-8 can been found (an probably seen from the beach) south of Manistee. Nighthawk (Sec5, C&C 115) & Geronimo(Sec5, Super Ray 33) have jumped out ahead of Section 5  and are passing Manistee.

Sections 9, 10 & T10 are found off of Ludington.  The Morgan 41 Cynthia has been going the right way and is nearly to Manistee along with the T10 Norboy.

As the boats appear to be moving again – I am sure much will change as the day progresses.

Ballsy move by FG. Does anyone know if they are there due to weather routing or just kept sailing in the breeze?
