New England Team Racing
Regatta Highlights: Sunday: After drizzle and no wind in the morning,
the breeze came in at 11:37 EDT. The round of eight was completed,
eliminating BC and Conn. A single round of 6 was finished by 4:00 and
awards were handed out soon afterward. Thanks again to all of the
judges who came to help us run fantastic races. Also thanks to CGA for
again lending us their boats and for running the consolation round.
Lastly, thanks to the Conn Students who helped with race committee,
grilling and repairs. Only one minor breakdown occurred, and one
protest heard. The umpires made several calls, but their presence
allowed the races to be much cleaner than other regattas this year.
Congratulations to Harvard and Yale for qualifying and to Dartmouth for
winning the Fowle Trophy New England Team Race Championship.
