Sunday morning on Mackinac
Sunday, July 20th, 2008Sunday morning on the island and all is calm. The wind is starting to fill in - from the east. And the freighters go by.
A webcam update - the first camera is in place and will be live shortly. The webcam link will appear on http://www.chicagomackinac.com at that time. This camera looks out at the finish line. The other two cameras will over look the harbor where the bulk of the fleet will be docking.
Just heard from Nice Pair - they are off of Whitehall and almost to Ludington just off the beach. The winds are light, seas flat, a little drizzly with a high ceiling. They are carrying a full main and their code zero. They can see the sun trying to poke through and the boat speed is 6.9. Thanks for the update!!!
