NMMA Centralizes Management Team for Strictly Sail Shows

CHICAGO, IL, May 20, 1997- The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced today it will consolidate the management of its three Strictly Sail Shows. The decision is aimed at better serving exhibitors and making exhibiting in the Strictly Sail Shows more efficient. Strictly Sail - Miami show manager Kevin Murphy will spearhead the new management team from NMMA's offices in Chicago, Ill.

"The plan is to create one centrally-based team to produce all three shows," says NMMA vice president for shows Ben Wold. " We think this makes sense because it will benefit exhibitors and is the most efficient use of our resources."

"Since a majority of our exhibitors participate in all three shows, having a centralized management staff will make it easier for them to coordinate exhibit space and ultimately sell more product", says Wold. "We are very excited that the Strictly Sail Shows are continuing to grow and hope that exhibitors will see the benefit of having one point of contact for Miami, Chicago, and New England."

Strictly Sail - Chicago will be held January 20 - February 1; Strictly Sail - Miami will be held February 12 - 18; and Strictly Sail - New England will be held March 19 - 22.
