    Bassani and his crew were crowned the
1998 Mumm 30 World Champions and will fly home
to Monaco with the 98-year-old Royal Canadian
Yacht Club Trophy.


Clipper 98 arrives in the Carribean
    Leg 2, from Madeira to San Salvadore,
Ariel clipper was again the winner. With
two legs and two firsts she is the lead Clipper.
Second was Thermopylae Clipper. Third on the
trans atlantic leg 2 was Mermerus Clipper.
    These three also are 1-2-3 for the race.
Next the Clipper fleet sails to Nassau Bahamas.
From there they race to Havana and Panama.
