Prudential Insurance and Financial Services through their Citadel Agency in Mt. Pleasant has announced that they have reached a major sponsorship agreement with the No Barriers Education Foundation headed by international yachtsman and professional speaker, Neal Petersen.
"As we provide insurance services and products to aid families," states Ed Cook, Managing Director, "we also want to be aligned with an organization and individual who provides life long learning to our community's youth. Neal Petersen and the No Barriers Education Foundation have done a tremendous job in this community teaching our future generations. We want to support this."
Prudential joins South Carolina Ports and Phillips Industrial Services as a major sponsor of the No Barriers Education Foundation and Neal Petersen, along with Passport International, News Printing Company, CatGraphics, FastSigns, Spinlock and The Source. One more major financial sponsorship option is available aboard the vessel, with ongoing support for the Foundation still required.
With the September 26 start date of the Around Alone close, July 1 marks the close of entries for yachts intending to compete in this grueling 27,000 mile solo circumnavigation. Petersen has paid the $12,500 entry fee as he completes his preparation of his 40-foot yacht www.no-barriers.com.
The No Barriers Education Foundation's mission is to teach children to believe in themselves, inspire youth to set goals, and demonstrate that in obtaining and applying self directed education, dreams come true.
The flagship of the Foundation, www.no-barriers.com, is a floating classroom to which students around the world will be linked via e-mail as Neal teaches various disciplines and attitudes.
