Neal Peterson Skipper of www.no-barriers.com

Neal was born June 3 1967 in Cape Town South Africa.  He completed primary schooling in South Africa.  He moved onto the United States.  In 1985 he graduated from the College of  Oceaneering in Los Angeles.  His course of study focused on Commercial Diving.

He took his education in Diving and used it as a career basis from 1985 to 1991.  Still Neal held the dream of sailing around the world.  Rather than waiting for the right time, Neal plunged ahead and built his own boat.  Self designed and built his boat now called www.no-barriers.com was completed for a total of $25,000.

Neal has taken this boat and raced it extensively in solo and double handed offshore races.  This will be Neal's second attempt at Around Alone.
