Paladin is last official finisher

Paladin 2 became the final official Leg 3 finisher crossing the finish line at 0527 local/0827 GMT/0327 eastern in Punta Del Este Urguay.   Paladin's time for the leg was 52 days 9 hours 27 minutes and 34 seconds for an average of 4.74.

Fleet Round Up:

Paladin 2's Neil Hunter had said, "I have announced my ETA optimistically for tomorrow, Tuesday, 30^th, but this depends entirely upon Huey, the god of the winds."  Neil was quite correct about this.  Neil must have good relations with Huey because soon he reported, "Unbelievable weather. I was becalmed for the last two nights and tonight I've had up to 35 kts. Currently SW 20-30 kts. I've got three reefs in the main and no headsail and I still can't slow the old girl down. We are making about 7 kts.

Upon finishing Hunter indicated being nearly ready for Around Alone's concluding Leg 4 to Charleston SC.  Neil said: "All I've got to do is change the engine oil, take on some water, and clean the stove."

What does it all mean ?

The final Leg of Around Alone will start April 10th.   About Leg 4 Neil Hunter says, "The next one's the hardest cause it's the only one left. We'll look forward to finishing in Charleston and really celebrating."
