Neal has begun to set up his approach to the finish: "I have a wind on the beam at present, and I am heading inshore, not directly to Punta, as I suspect that the wind will come from the North again and I am trying to minimise the amount of tacking I will need to do." Next is Shuten Dojhi II. Shuten lies 586 miles from the finish. Shuten is without a full sail inventory and so struggles when the wind is less than a strong breeze.
Paladin 2 comes next 1070 miles from the finish. Neil Hunter reports: "Weather is quite variable at the moment. A glimpse of sun and then cloud and the odd hail shower. Just had some lightning and thunder in the distance to add a bit of colour to the scene. The wind is also up and down like a yoyo sometimes touching 30 kts and then dropping out almost completely."
