Around Alone Report March 17

Paladin and MUH near Cape Horn

Please consult The Around Alone Report Users Guide for an explanation of this report.

Next to this legs notable landmar will be Neil Hunter.   He is about 300 miles from Cape Horn.  Before Paladin 2 rounds Cape Horn, unofficial competitor Modern University for the Humanities will round.  MUH is 135 miles ahead of Paladin 2.

Fleet Round Up:

www.no-barriers.com is 870 miles from leg's end. From No Barriers Neal reports:  "I have 10-14 knots from the SSE and broad reaching my way north."

Next is Shuten Dojhi II.   Shuten lies 1029 miles  from the finish.  Shuten is without a full sail inventory and so struggles when the wind is less than a strong breeze.

Paladin 2 comes next 1707 from the finish. Neil expect a Cape Horn rounding this weekend

What does it all mean ?

Although Neil Hunter sailed his boat to Charlston from Australia this will be his first Cape Horn rounding as he sailed via the Panama Canal on his 13,000 mile delivery trip.
