The three class I boats remaining are having a fantastic race. At last report all three were sailing at speeds of 15 knots or better. For them, it's all on.

Magellan Alpha has grabbed 1st in class II by 39 miles over Cray Valley. Mike Garside says: "Prudence would probably suggest the need to rein back a bit. But I came here to win this race and if I don't deliver a good result on this leg there's no longer any hope of that." Garside has not backed off yet making `3.5 knots fastest in class 2.
2nd is the current overall Class II leader, Cray Valley. Cray Valley is 39 miles from the lead and is just .1 knots slower than class leader Magellan. Looks like Cray Valley is again on the move to the front.
Balance Bar is 2nd in Class II by 61 miles. Currently Balance Bar is slower than the leader, 11.5 knots to the top 2's 13+.
Next is the first of the 40 foot Class II entries, Wind of Change. Wind of Change is 250 miles back.
Next is Shuten Dojhi II. Shuten lies 754 miles from 1st place.
Next is www.no-barriers.com. Neal Petersen is 761 miles back. Neal comments: "We got SW wind and making good progress at last" At last report No Barriers was sailing at a speed of 7.5 knots, so far so good..
Paladin 2 comes next 812 miles back.
What does it all mean ?
It looks like Cray Valley is on the move again. Last leg Magellan led at the beginning and then got dusted by Cray Valley. We shall see if history repeats itself.
