Mike Golding is one of the most successful and experienced entrants in this edition of Around Alone.

His most recent success came in the recent BT Challenge around the world race.  Sailing with crew Mike and Group 4 won 5 of the 6 legs in the race. At the end they one by 2 days. !  Group 4 and Mike also completed a previous Group 4 challenge together.

In between BT challenges Mike sailed Group 4 non stop around the world westabout.  This is the opposite directions of Around Alone, the Whitbread and most circumnavigations.  In fact, both of Mike's BT Challenges were westabout.  This means that Mike will be circling the globe in a new directions, and a new Group 4 this a new Finot Designed Open 60.  We talked to Mike about the differences he faces in undertaking Around Alone.  Sail on and read our interview with Mike Golding of Group 4.
