Thiercelin and Dubois Explain Why

Thiery Dubois has partcipated in the past 2 Vendee Globes.  Why is he sailing his 1st Around Alone: "In addition to this, it [Around Alone] is without doubt the only race, which fits so well with my project to promote human rights around the world. What could be better than to stop in different countries, and most importantly, to come to England, where Amnesty International is based."

Marc Thiercelin who will be sailing his 2nd Around Alone: "it was more motivating for me to get back into what I know and what I do best: single-handed racing. I have gained most of my experience on monohulls and around the world, so I know I can finish well, and I hope to win! I find it essential for my own self to sail around the world, to see other countries, meet different people, which is another dimension of Around Alone."
